Amazon Unveils Echo Show – Alexa Powered Device That Makes Video Calls


Today, Amazon has announced a new generation of Alexa based voice assistant platform – Echo Show. The device is able to dial up your friends and family and make video calls to anyone with an Echo Show or Alexa mobile app.

The device itself represent a mini tablet with so much innovation built into it. The device can listen and recognize the voice commands, play music and videos, connect to security cameras across the room and more. Basically, the gadget represents the much-improved version of Alexa line of hardware.

Amazingly, Amazon Echo Show can also connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth. As a result, you will be able to receive calls, call a taxi via Uber and perform any other task within Alexa operating system. Besides, there is an interesting new feature called Drop-Ins. It allows anyone having an Echo Show device with pre-approved access to see what is going on another end.

The Echo Show comes in black and white versions. It will cost $229.99 and will be shipped from June 28, with preorders available now. It appears that it will be available first in the U.S. only.
