This week, we’ve seen a number of new smart watches and activity trackers. However, according to our experience, classic chronographs are also becoming popular these days. Well known classic watch brand Casio has introduced a number of daily chronographs under a the series of Casio Edifice EFR-556, which initially will contain four models: EFR-556D-1AV, EFR-556DB-1AV, EFR-556DB-2AV and EFR-556L -1AV. The models differ only in colors and the use of leather vs. steel bands. Model EFR-556L-1AV uses leather bands instead of steel straps.
In all four models, the housing and bezel is made of stainless steel. An analog chronograph dial features a mineral glass with anti-glare treatment. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (WR100M). The watch works in SR920SW batteries which lasts for three years.
Coming to functionalities, Casio Edifice EFR-556 can display the time of the month and it can measure time intervals with an accuracy of a fraction of a second. The chronograph contains rounded sections which displays seconds and minutes. There is a 24-hour format available under the 12-hour counter. There is a luminescent coating in major labels and arrows to lightens up in the dark.
