ESEE Knives Introduces ESEE-6HM Survival Knife


Brand ESEE Knives has officially announced that it will start receiving pre-orders for a new fixed blade knife ESEE-6HM, in the upcoming SHOT Show 2017 exhibition. The knife is an updated version of very popular utilitarian knife ESEE-6. The main difference is in the form of a handle, which is identical to the model  ESEE-3HM and ESEE-4HM. The knife itself will become smaller and lighter.

The used materials are the same as in ESEE-6. The overall dimensions of the knife have also remained without any significant changes. The knife has a fixed blade design, and is made of carbon steel 1095. The knife’s blade uses protective black coated powder to increase the corrosion resistance and perfomance. The hardness of the steel is not more than 55-57 HRC.

The blade has a refined and streamlined, that the statements of designers, should have a positive impact on the general comfort for prolonged use tool. The handle uses exclusively smooth lining of the familiar material Micarta, which is fixed by three steel bolts under the hex slot.

According to preliminary information, the full length of the knife ESEE-6HM amount to almost 299 mm, a maximum width of about 40 mm, length of blade 165 mm, length of the cutting edge 146 mm, the maximum thickness of the blade is 4.8 mm. The total weight of the knife, without taking into account bundled sheath is less than 310 grams. The price of new items is not yet known, the price of the basic model ESEE-6 about $125.
