Following the Edifice EQB-501, Casio has announced another watch with a functionally similar model, but with a more rugged case. G-Shock GPW-2000 watch will be a part of GravityMaster line. It includes two series: GPW-2000-1A and GPW-2000-1A2 which differ from each other mainly by the color of the aluminum bezel.
A key feature of the GravityMaster GPW-2000 series is the ability to automatically synchronize the current time from the three built-in technologies – MultiBand 6 and a relatively new technology of GPS-synchronization. Besides, it gets synced after pairing your watch with your G-Shock Connected app with the built-in Bluetooth V4.0.
Other features of G-Shock GPW-2000 include the presence Tough Movement technology, Tough Solar and Smart Access, a world time function with 24-hour zones, countdown timer, stopwatch, and an alarm clock. Besides, the watch can record location data and sync them with your smartphone.
The new watch has a rugged enclosure combined according to the Triple G Resist technology. The technology provides high impact resistance, vibration resistance, resistance to centrifugal gravitational forces.
General waterproof housing meets the 20 Bar metric.
It features the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating for the analog dial. The arrows are made of carbon fiber; an adjustable strap also has a combined structure with the addition of a thin layer of carbon fiber.
The maximum body diameter of 66 mm, case thickness of no more than 18.2 mm and weighs 198 grams hours.
Official sales of the new premium series of shock-resistant watches G-Shock GravityMaster GPW-2000 (GPW-2000-1A, GPW-2000-1A2) should begin as early as May 19, 2017. Suggested retail price is $875.
