The Swiss manufacturer of outwear clothing and equipment – Mammut, has prepared traditional mountain boots – Magic Guide High GTX. The presented model offers a high level of feet support and protection. It is suitable for mountain running in weather conditions of average temperatures.
The top of the new shoes is made mostly of genuine leather, which carries the commercial name Idro-Perwanger 3.0, and has a thickness of 2.4 mm. A neck is formed by neoprene of different densities and a partly volumetric mesh lining. To ensure the required level of support and protection of the foot, manufacturers have applied the tight thermo-polyurethane welt and a supporting system Base Fit 2.1.
As for inner parts of the Magic Guide High GTX, they are covered mainly with a two-component membrane of the Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort Footwear series. It provides the necessary water resistance and thermal insulation (the boundary temperature of easy use is up to -25C), and sufficient vapor permeability for the active use.
Inside, an anatomical insole provides the necessary support for an arch, using a thin stripping cloth with antibacterial treatment. There is also a thick cushion of foam; a heat-insulating felt layer and a dense carbon fiber support layer for additional cushioning and flexibility.
The sole of the new Magic Guide High GTX shoes is created by combining inserts of different materials. Namely, the shoes use expanded polyurethane foam, EVA foam, a dense stretch material with a polyurethane reinforcement and a layer of Vibram Maton thermo-polyurethane pad. As a result, the sneakers are highly resistant to impact and protect feet at maximum level. The complexity of materials and crafts make the sole ideal for different types of mountain climbing.
New insulated mountain boots Mammut Magic Guide High GTX are already available for order. Boots are available only in the male version and in one almost entirely black color (black-inferno). The estimated price is $450/
