Nikola Tesla, the famous scientist, is quite popular among electric vehicle manufacturers. After Elon Musk decided to use Tesla’s surname for his electric car company, the innovator’s name was picked as a name of a different company that also makes electric vehicles. But unlike Tesla Motors, Nikola Motor makes bigger vehicles powered by electric current. The company made some interesting prototypes, the most interesting being two giant hydrogen powered trucks called Nikola One and Nikola Two that still haven’t seen the light of day. Instead, we got the Nikola Zero UTV, a supercharged all-terrain vehicle with a torque capable of launching it to the moon.
The Nikola Zero UTV looks fantastic, with a combination of gray and black colors, along with excellent sports seats and quite large wheels. It just looks sturdy and extremely capable. The off-roader has a place for four persons, a nice touch that can’t be found on most similar vehicles.
When it comes to power, the Nikola Zero can brag about having 555 horsepower electric beast of an engine under its hood. It is capable of accelerating from zero to sixty in just 3.9 seconds, faster than most sports cars, and it offers 490 ft-lbs of torque. That’s enough power to climb on every steep climb, and its instant torque capability will be handy when stuck in mud or when wanting to conquer some gargantuan climb.
You also get an anti-lock braking system, stability control, traction control, torque vectoring, and enough battery power to drive the Zero for around 200 miles when fully charged. You can get the Nikola Zero UTV for $35,000 on the Nikola Motor’s website.
