In addition to Aether AG and Ariel AG series, the brand Osprey Packs prepares new series of backpacks for hiking – Stratos and Sirrus. The Stratos series are designed as male backpacks and their equivalent is Sirrus packs for women. The male model will be available with the volume of 24, 26, 34, 36 and 50 liters. Meanwhile, the female models will be available only in 24, 26, 36 and 50 liter versions.
Both Stratos and Sirrus series are made mostly of nylon material with 210th density. As usual, the places of high wearouts are made of reinforced nylon with 420th density. As with previous models, backpacks use adjustable weight balance and AirSpeed suspension system. The basis of the suspension system is taken from the model of Anti-Gravity backpacks. It offers high ventilation, overall light weight and the ability to adjust the distance between the shoulder straps and hip straps.
In both Stratos and Sirrus series, Osprey Packs has provided the main compartment with top lid, the upper compression valve compartment, front compartment, the general purpose, separate case under the drinking system. There are elastic pockets on sides, two small pocket directly at the hip belts, and a separate pocket with going to included raincoat. In addition, the backpack has two pairs of compression straps and Stow-on-the-Go fastening. You can also attach trekking poles to the straps available on the front side.
The weight of Osprey Stratos empty backpack ranges from 1.08 kg per 24-liter version and up to 1.48 kg in the 50-liter model, the weight of backpacks women Osprey Sirrus ranges from 1.08-1.44 kg. Estimated cost models also varies between $140 and $180 respectively.
