The German manufacturer of footwear, apparel and outdoor equipment, Salewa, announces a new pair of sneakers, which are suitable both for running on rough terrain and for hiking. Ultra Flex Mid GTX combines the support and protection of hiking shoes with ease and flexibility of running shoes. The shoes are designed in cooperation with Michelin brand and are built on last year’s Ultra Train GTX model.
The top of a sneaker is made with elastic nylon material with water-repellent treatment. It uses dense nylon material for forming the valve and several pads of TPU with different densities. Sneaker’s neck is built on a new proprietary Salewa Flex Collar technology. There is a volumetric grid, and breathable Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane lining inside the shoes. Moreover, the insole provides an arch support and an insert with anti-bacterial treatment.
Soles of shoes, made of wear-resistant material TPU Michelin Outdoor Compound, complemented by flexible arch support and cushioning layer of EVA-foam double density. The difference in height between the heel and toe of no more than 8 mm.
The retail sales of Salewa Ultra Flex Mid GTX is due to start in July 2017. Sneakers will be available at least in six options of the combined colors. The estimated price is $ 190.
