Waterlily Portable Turbine Generates Power out of Wind and Water

We all know that modern travelers need electricity and power everywhere. They need it even when they actually don’t. It makes manufacturers produce products that will get us electricity using the solar power, wind, rivers and more. The manufacturers of Waterlily – Seaformatics, has decided to produce low electricity, just enough for charging your gadgets using the wind and rivers.

Weighing only 800 g (1.8 lb), this turbine generates the maximum of 25 watts of electricity using the wind minimum speed of which should be 10.8 km/h (6.7 mph). When the device is submerged in the river, it needs a minimum of 1 km/h and 11 km/h (0.6 mph and 6.8 mph).

According to Seaformatics, soon you will be able to attach waterlily to your canoe or to your bike. Currently, the product is not available for sale yet. However, you can preorder it from Waterlily website. The early birds will be able to purchase it for $99 in August 2017. Then the prices will go up to $150.
